Groundswell Surf Therapy™trainings

Groundswell Surf Therapy trainings were co created by Natalie Small LMFT and community clinicians, surf coaches, healers, and non-profit community development leaders. Each training is facilitated by Natalie and trained clinicians and experts in the field with the goal of providing you a deeper understanding of trauma’s effects on the brain, body, community, and earth and how Surf Therapy can be a powerful tool for transformation, liberation, and recovery. Through embodied learning; each training portal will provide you with the recording of the live training along with Groundswell copyrighted curriculums, worksheets, and tools to support you in providing safer and braver trauma informed spaces for your local community. At the completion of the training you will receive the Groundswell Surf Therapy TM stamp to have on your website and social medias to celebrate your commitment to trauma informed surf therapy spaces, along with certificate of completion and the opportunity to get CEU’s through California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Surf Therapy For Trauma Recovery (Level 1)

For therapists, students, surf coaches, ocean lovers, and the curious; this course utilizes experiential embodied learning to explore the somatic therapy definition of trauma and its effects on the brain, body, and community. This training will mainly focus on somatic therapeutic modalities, not on surf lessons.
